My New Class 4B |
I'm teaching a new class in Chua Chu Kang Primary and I have to say they are a cheeky bunch of students. I enjoy teaching them, eventhough I feel that I tend to scold them too much. Oh well, even if I don't like scolding them, I have to maintain discipline in the classroom - even with little things like pushing in chairs quietly.
I hope they don't get the wrong idea about me. I am strict, but I am also very friendly and I enjoy talking nonsense, making jokes and reading silly poems.
So far, I really enjoy teaching them - especially english and art (even if they don't believe I drew those pictures!). They seem to enjoy the poems I bring to class, but not Jonathan Livingston Seagull, however, which made me a bit sad. That book has a very meaningful story. Maybe they will read it and like it when they are older. They seemed to enjoy the Monkey House poem, so that made me glad.
I hope that through my teaching, they will be able to succeed. I want them to do well, because I can see from their work that they are very intelligent. But most of all, I hope they will not hesitate to ask me questions if they are unclear about anything I may be teaching.
I'm looking forward to having a great time with this class! |
